1. Introduction
Jonah Ventures is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and secure information when you access and use our web app and related services provided by our eDNA service lab. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information:

Contact Information: We collect the basic contact information that you provide to us (such as your name, email address, shipping address, etc.) solely for the purpose of communicating with you regarding sample tracking, results, and other relevant updates.

Authentication Data: When you create an account, your password and related authentication information are stored securely using AWS Cognito.

Sample Metadata:

Our mobile application and web portal allow you to record sample metadata, including details such as location, date and time of sample collection, and sample attributes. These data are stored securely and, at your discretion, you can opt into making some or all of this information available via our public data portal.

The JonahDNA mobile application is used only to record metadata associated with environmental sample collection. The app does not collect, process, retrieve, or analyze DNA or genetic sequence data. No personal health data is recorded or accessed by the mobile application. This information is used solely to document where and when environmental samples were collected and to associate those records with laboratory analysis performed separately from the mobile application.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies:

Currently, we do not use cookies on our website. However, future updates to our data portal may employ simple cookies (for example, to manage persistent sessions) to enhance user experience.
